Right to Heal Tour – Chicago
Iraq Veterans Against the War’s Right to Heal Tour will stop in Chicago on Monday, May 14 for a teach-in about our Operation Recovery Campaign to end the deployment of traumatized troops and win service members and veterans right to heal.
Will you join us? RSVP and share the event on Facebook.
The tour stop in Chicago is especially important considering the upcoming NATO Summit and the powerful collaboration between National Nurses United at Jesse Brown VA and IVAW Chicago. Come celebrate this powerful alliance for veterans’ right to heal and learn about the true cost of war from Afghanistan and Iraq veterans. Hear speakers from Fort Hood, National Nurses United, and IVAW Chicago.
WHEN: Monday, 5/14, 7:00-8:30 PM
WHERE: Jane Addams Hull House Museum, 800 S. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60607
Here are 3 things you can do:
1) Like the Right to Heal Tour on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Right2Heal and follow us on Twitter @Right2Heal.
2) Go to RighttoHeal.org to post your story of how the military or VA denied you or someone you care about proper health treatment for Post Traumtic Stress, Military Sexual Trauma, or Traumatic Brain Injury.
3) Make a donation to support the tour. Our goal is to raise $10,000 over the course of the tour. Half will cover tour costs, and the other half will be used to support our summer organizing efforts.
We hope to see you Monday!
